Cookie and Analytics Policy

This policy explains how JoodCMS and websites powered by JoodCMS use cookies, local storage, and analytics technologies, and how visitors can control optional collection.

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. Scope

This policy covers JoodCMS-operated services and the analytics capability made available to organizations running websites on JoodCMS. Each organization remains responsible for its own visitor notice, purposes, legal basis, and configuration where it controls the website and its content.

2. Essential technologies

Essential cookies and similar storage may be used for authentication, security, fraud prevention, language, theme, consent choices, and session continuity. These technologies are required for requested service functions and are not used for advertising profiles.

3. Optional analytics

FULL website analytics starts only after the visitor provides consent through the website's built-in banner or another consent manager selected by the website operator. Depending on the configuration, FULL analytics can include pageviews, navigation, performance metrics, errors, interactions, campaign parameters, identified-user links, and session replay. Disabling the built-in banner does not grant consent or start FULL analytics.

4. Analytics privacy modes

FULL mode supports the website's configured analytics features after consent. ANONYMIZED mode accepts reduced pageview and performance measurements, uses rotating pseudonymous identifiers, and rejects identification, replay, custom events, and detailed interactions. A website operator may use ANONYMIZED mode without the FULL consent banner only where it has documented another valid legal basis and provided the required notice. Reduced-data identifiers remain pseudonymous personal data and are protected accordingly.

5. Your choices

Use the website's consent controls to accept, reject, or withdraw optional analytics. Browser controls can also remove or block cookies and local storage, although doing so may reset a saved choice or affect essential functions. Withdrawing consent stops future optional collection and does not automatically erase data already processed; deletion requests can be made under the Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Instructions.

6. Retention

Production analytics events, rollups, and website usage records may be retained for up to 1,095 days for long-term reporting and service measurement. Session replay is retained for up to 30 days. Production database and analytics backups expire after 30 days and are also capped by backup count. Shorter periods may apply outside production. Verified legal holds may temporarily suspend deletion for the affected records.

7. Questions and complaints

Questions about JoodCMS analytics can be sent to contact@joodlab.com. For a merchant website, contact that website operator first because it determines the purpose and settings for its visitor analytics.
